Your files become .dclk — and only DocuLock can open them.
The .dclk format is our signature. Every file encrypted with DocuLock is wrapped in an authenticated AES-256-GCM envelope, paired with a separate .dclkey keyfile. Together they form a lockbox that no other tool can open — not editors, not cloud viewers, not archive utilities. Only DocuLock (your browser or your account) decrypts .dclk files, and only when the correct key is present.
That's the point. A document ending in .dclk is a promise: if someone gets your file, they still don't have your file.
